Why did you choose to work in this industry? I was initially recruited to Russell Reynolds Associates, because of my previous work experience at Goldman Sachs and Citadel Investment Group, as a financial services generalist. I quickly became attracted to the opportunity to join the Insurance practice, and was most intrigued by the dynamism of an industry going through transformative change. 

What has been the highlight of your career so far? The highlight has been advising CEOs, senior executives, and boards on how to identify, assess, recruit, develop and retain transformative talent in an industry facing heavy disruption. The opportunity to partner with a variety of global insurance clients on issues of next-generation succession planning, benchmarking, cross-functional hiring, talent development, comparative trends, insight, and acting as a trusted advisor has been fulfilling. 

Clients call to talk through their strategic thoughts and ideas, and not only when they have a hiring need. Another highlight has been the opportunity to attract and recruit diverse talent and professionals from outside the industry to bring new, transformational best practice perspectives. Also I have enjoyed building expertise in data & analytics, digital transformation, customer experience and diversity & inclusion.
